Safe use
ÔSecure* is meant to be used in the same way you would use stairs with railings therefore the same safety considerations you have while using stairs should also apply to the ÔSecure* system. The temporary railing system is meant as a balance aid and not to sustain weight nor to hold someone who is at risk of falling. Do not lean against or sit on the railings.
ÔSecure* is safe for use by children who can safely use regular stairs, but children should not play on, or with, the ÔSecure* system.
Do not remove the non-slip rubber backing from the temporary steps, and clean existing steps before installation to prevent the system from sliding.
The slopping (mini-ramp) on the top and bottom step is a safety feature to prevent tripping. It must be used to ensure safe use. Do not remove the mini-ramps.
Regularly verify that the ÔSecure* system is stable and safe to use. Be sure to read additional safe use documentation sent with your ÔSecure* system.

Placement
When installing ÔSecure*, be aware of traffic flow. You do not want to create an obstacle with ÔSecure*! Align the system with openings such as doorways, and be sure to move any furniture or other obstacles away from the system.
Ensure that the ÔSecure* system is stable and properly installed according to instructions before using. If in doubt, contact us.
To prevent damage to existing steps and floors, clean the surfaces to be covered by the ÔSecure system before installation. Any particles left under the ÔSecure system could scratch existing steps and floors.
The system is 107.2 cm (42 1/4 inches) wide. If you require a customized width, please contact us.

Maintenance
Regularly verify that the assembly is tight and stable.
Dust or vacuum ÔSecure* in the same way you would care for wood flooring. Treat an outdoor system gently by sweeping away snow instead of shovelling, for example. Prolonged outdoor use may require refinishing.
